FreshFaves is a bookmarking service with perishable bookmarks.

If you do not visit a particular link for 30 days, it quietly drops off your faves list. This is handy for tracking sites that you are not completely convinced are useful, or that are of only temporary value.

If you decide that a particular link is of lasting value, we make it easy to copy your link to other non-perishable bookmarking sites.

New Users

If you are new, just save the link below to your bookmarks. The first time you click it to save a bookmark, your list will be created. How to save the bookmark varies from browser to browser, but generally dragging the link to the bookmarks bar works, or right-click the link, and choose an appropriate popup menu option.

Existing Users

If you already have an account (a fave list) here, just click on your bookmarklet (in your browser's bookmarks or favorites) to visit freshfaves.com, and then click on 'just browse the fave list'.

Once you have reached your fave list, you can email your bookmarklet to friends you wish to allow to edit your list.

You can also email your bookmarklet to yourself, and that is the recommended way to save your bookmarklet for safekeeping.

This site is fully functional, and free to use. It was created as a demonstration for the service Rdbhost.com. If you are a javascript programmer, please visit Rdbhost and consider us for a future project.

Fresh Faves is open source, MIT licensed. The concept and feature set were borrowed from Sid Steward's wonderful 'listmixer' site, unfortunately no longer online. The code is entirely original, borrowing not a line from listmixer.
